A new music streaming site that is actually pretty cool...

So I stumbled onto Pandora while looking for a new site to listen to music at work. It's actually a pretty sweet little site. You can sign up for free or not, but basically what you do is type in a band you enjoy. The site then will start to stream music by that band and other bands that may be similar. You can give a thumbs up or down on which ever song is playing, and that will be reflected in other bands the site will stream. I've tried it with different genres of music I am into, and it's a pretty sweet little project. In the past few days, I have found a ton of bands I would never have heard of. The songs are even decent quality. So, just thought I'd pass it along to my fellow chewers.

I like Pandora, but if you try to do different playlists, they bleed over into one another, which annoys me - I don't want Jeff Buckley showing up in my metal stream.

IMO http://www.finetune.com/ is a better site, but your mileage my vary.

I've been listening to Pandora for a while now, and recently got a message from them that the Copyright Royalty Board is essentially trying to kill free internet radio by raising the royalty rates by 300% to 1200%. They're saying this will essentially bankrupt any free net radio outlet. Don't know if it'll do much good, but you may want to put your two cents in over at the link they gave:
