Again with the bait-and-switch headline?

C'mon, CHUD's cooler than that.
That shit ain't funny Beaks.
Talk about a teasing title, you trickster.

Stop Fucking With Me!

Ha. You got me twice in a row.

Anyway, while it wasn't the most complicated role, Evans was pretty good in Sunshine.
One great actor, and one who's might be a good one. Interesting.

Not as interesting as the cockblocking title. Dammit Beaks.
That was not nice.

Hugh Laurie would be a great out of nowhere choice for Rorschach, though.
YOU SON OF A BITCH!

Still that's good casting. But enough with the cocktease headlines alredy.
Beaks. I hate you.

HATE!

nice casting though, this movie is looking better by the minute.

but I still hate you Beaks.
Most frustrating misdirection ever.

More Laurie anywhere is great news, though.

I'll stop doing it when y'all stop freaking out (which hopefully is never).
Beaks must get his line delibery from that doctor on Arrested Development

"We've lost him......we don't know where he is."

We're not freaking out.

I hate you for making me think that House had been cast as Rorschach.

I really do.

Seriously.
I still love you, Beaks.
Why did everyone think Rorschach? I was thinking Nite Owl.

Oh, and Fuck you, Beaks! (Meant in the nicest way possible)
Hey, did anybody else think this article was about the Alan Moore adaptation?
I, for one, thought the article was going to be about the remake of 1945's Winky the Watchman. You know, the animated short about the dentist.

I knew he was talking about Neo's movie.

I'll gay it up for a minute and say Laurie is too fit and handsome to play Dreiberg.
You jerk Jeremy. I thought this was actually Watchmen casting news. Hugh Laurie as Nite Owl or something. Shame.
Asshole.

Laurie as Rorschach came to my mind too... Guess it's just a good casting choice then.
I gotta admit: when I found out I'd been had, I laughed.

One day Beaks. One day it will be true.

Just saw Laurie in a non-period role on House. He could pull of Rorschach. He really could. Possible Night Owl. But word on Rorschach
post #29 of 39
Is it possible, though, that a slight title change might be in the cards for this film to avoid this sort of confusion? At least, you know, for MY sake?
Talk about "CHUD.com's 50 Biggest Disappointments"...I give this one an 8.5, easy.

I'd say the same about Rohrschach. Sure he's under a mask for most of the book but when he is revealed he is one ugly dude.

Besides (SPOILER) Hugh Laurie would be way too obvious walking around in the background with the apocalytic warning signs.

Me too. Damn you for bringing my hopes up Beaks. Laurie would've made an excellent Winky.
Well played.
Knock it off!
If the Raptors hadn't won I would be ANGRY.

Hugh Laurie as the Comedian? I say yes.
Someone get a print of White Chicks, label it Watchmen, and send it to whatever theater Beaks will be attending opening night.
Actually it's a relief! I was pretty man that Chris Evans was going to be in Watchmen.
Evans is great, but his presence in the headline kidna had me thinking that Beaks was pulling a fast one. Who the Hell would he play? Young Comedian?

...come to think of it, that ain't bad.
i was relieved that this was not THEE Watchmen, as I'm not a fan of either of those choices for anyone in Watchmen, and immediately dreaded Chris Evans in that movie.
