I have, and it's great. Just this entire list is pretty damn great, and as so far as serious comic-based films(as in non-superhero), A History of Violence and Road to Perdition are superior in my eyes. And no, not just because they have guns.

I'll certainly give you A History of Violence, but then, I'm a Cronenberg groupie. I guess I just didn't find Road to Perdition all that memorable. It's a very good movie, yes, but I thought that American Splendor was revolutionary in the way it played with the conventions of cinematic storytelling; as revolutionary in its way as Pulp Fiction.

Dammit, Pulp Fiction had guns. The NRA has something to do with this.

I think I just have trouble believing that you would think it's the worst movie on that list. I mean, Batman Begins, Hellboy and Sin City are all better movies than American Splendor? Really?

Sin City I give a pass just for the visual aspect. As for Hellboy and Batman Begins, hey, you got me.
And I've always really, really liked Road to Perdition. I consider it a bit of a modern classic, and way better than, say, American Beauty.

i like american splendor but that's.. i mean, that's a hell of a statement. you can literally see the effects of pulp fiction changing screenwriting and even moviemaking TODAY. like, a script that sold last week wouldn't exist if it weren't for pulp fiction, you know? i think it was dave chappelle that said about clinton 'you know you're famous when somebody sucks your dick and then becomes famous themselves'. that's kinda how i think of pulp fiction. generally.

they aren't better or worse, they are just different kinds of movies. a 'comic book movie', isn't a genre, it's not like these films are really in competition with one another. besides, this is a chud knockout. it some people had their way the first punisher movie would win this thing. that movie is fun, granted.... but c'mon.

but i think of sin city as grossly overrated.

It's actually a more strict adaptation of a comic than most of the films on this list. Although there are lots of deviations from the source material, it is actually directly based on the comic it's lifted from. What storyline in the Supes comics does the Superman film come from? I can't think of any, at least not one rather than a mishmash of threads. If you are talking strictly superhero adaptations, then sure, it doesn't count, but this is the 'comic book movie' vote off, not the 'superhero movie vote off.'
