I'm sure the T-Rex is solely responsible for the extinction of every other species of creature on this planet with opposable thumbs.

Years and years ago (like maybe 15 or so), on an episode of the 700 club (I only watched it because it followed the reruns of the 60's Batman show they ran and he was talking about dinosaurs) said that dinosaurs were in fact real, but died out because they were too late to make it on the Ark.

He then proceeded to hold up a picture of animals getting on Noah's Ark with a T-Rex and Stegasaurus in the background, far off from the boat. I suppose this was his supporting evidence.

Honestly if people had Stegasauruses back then and still chose to farm goats for meat, then fuck them. They had that drowning coming.

Doesn't get much more awesome than this anecdote. Sigging it.

I'm marrying into a family that strongly supports this museum (finanicially as well as theoretically), so much so that my future mother-in-law has a Creation Museum-issued bumpersticker that depicts a Biblical-era dude carrying a T-Rex on his back (who looks absolutely caught off guard at being hoisted up in the air and run off with). The slogan reads: "WE'RE TAKING DINOSAURS BACK!"

I suppose what I'm trying to figure out is what the bumper sticker is trying to say.

1) "We believed in dinosaurs firsts, but then you scientist people took dinosaurs away, so now we want them back as further supporting evidence that the Bible is true!"

2) "We rejected dinosaurs as being works of Satan until faced with irrefutable evidence to the contrary, and now we're accepting their existance so we look a little less medieval."

I haven't asked, because that would mean discussing religion, which is a topic I avoid with them at all costs.

Hahaha. Wow. We're taking dinosaurs back? I honestly can't tell if that post was real or not but either way it was funny as hell. If this is really true can I please ask you to accomplish these two relatively easy yet simultaneously painful tasks. First, can you take and post a quick pic of the bumper sticker, and b, can you please ask your wacked out in laws in a friendly who cares/off the cuff sort of way something to the effect of 'what happened with the dinosaurs on Noah's Ark?' Or set someone else up to ask this question.....I love this shit.

1. The post was deadly serious.
2. I'll see if I can get a pic.
3. I can't discuss this with them, as it's going to open a whole can of worms. They aren't just religious; they're by and large a family who has devoted their lives to missionary work in Africa. As much as they love me, it's still a source of contention that I (a non-Christian who makes gory movies) am marrying their currently-very-much-on-the-fence-about-how-she-was-raised daughter. Believe me: asking her father for his daughter's hand led to all sorts of Christian pontification that i don't want to revisit.

My bad. I never got up close enough to see that the little dude is wearing modern-era clothes.

In the words of Dimitri Martin, "Bumper stickers are like a short cut. They say, 'Hey, let's you and me never hang out.'"

Here is a post I made on another board about this subject. After long debating this subject I have finally understood it reason for being.

The real problem here is pride. Most people want to believe that they are not beasts even though the bible say that they are beasts. Most people want to believe that they are God special little butterfly. The bible clearly teaches that human beings are beasts, on our own we will always be beasts, and nothing but beasts. Although the bible does teach that it is through the faith of Jesus(which is not the same thing as having faith in Jesus) we have a chance to become more then beasts. Since we are beasts that must mean we came from beasts.

I have come closer to fully understanding what Paul mean by saying that.

2Th 2:3 let no man beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
2Th 2:4 he that opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God.

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Go eat cock, you beast.

Yikes, harsh. He's got a point, not one I totally agree with, but a valid view. Unlike those Down Syndrome affected people behind the museum.

What? I can't tell somebody to go and eat some poultry? Sheesh!!
Because if you were a good creation believing christian you'd know that cock's are only beasts until they have faith of/in/with/up Jesus. And then it is wrong to eat them. So before you advise cock gobbling, consider that, you fucking asshole. Amen.
