I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny.
Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...
If you like slasher films, then yes, you can't go wrong with The Burning, it's worth it for the Savini FX alone (particularly the raft scene, or the "free for all" as I like to call it).
Ah, Cropsy. I have many fond memories of introducing a gaggle of teenagers to his mischievous ways when I was given the task of getting a "scary movie" for a late-night video party back in the '80s. Many regretted giving me that task when they got a load of the Cropster jamming a pair of scissors into the belly of a hooker disgusted by his melted visage. Good times.
It's about time that The Burning and From Beyond get released. I also read that William Wesley's Scarecrows is coming out too. This is just great news.
Finally watched this last night..of all of the 80s slasher stragglers, I'm surprised this was never turned into a franchise, it's actually, originality aside, a pretty damn entertaining movie and the Savini gore is great.
