The original poster was iconic. This one... no.

I know Zombie's capable, but... I'm not impressed so far.

Doesn't it look a little bit like the "I Am Legend" poster?

I'm not thrilled with either the poster or the trailer. While I hope its a good movie (I mean why not), if its not I don't think that it'll tarnish the original. It's above that.

That poster is very Blah, doesnt mean I am not looking foward to this movie. I really didnt like HOuse but Rejects was 100% better and the whole hotel room scene really did it for me. That and the fact that for a horror movie filmed in almost all daylight it held the tension better then most.

"Charlie Hel.... *BANG*"

If the original can survive a sequel wherein Busta Rhymes goes "rahr, rahr, like a dungeon dragon"* all over Michael Myer's ass, it'll certainly survive Rob Zombie taking a whack at it.

* ie, kung-fu kicking the hell out of him before, if I recall correctly, electrocuting his nuts.

At first when I saw that I thought of myers87's fine work at posters. Evil has a destiny huh? What a weak poster.

Halloween: Resurrection is funny as shit.

I HATE the tagline, & I agree w/ Al that there's just too much going on w/ the collage & all, but if the Myers mask in the sunset was just an inpressionist portrait kind of thing, w/ the shadowy, silhouetted, knife wileding figure coming at you, the illustration wouldn't be half bad. There's almost a real sense of motion, like he really is plodding his way toward you.

I agree with most of the folks here. That poster is pretty corny, it's too "In YOUR FACE" like they have the huge mask and the name and it's all too much. I would have rather scene something like what they did for Jason vs. Freddy, where it was their faces and just "VS" on some of the posters. It's like if you are in "the know" you get the poster, if not, that flick just isn't for you.

I think if the movie is horrible, it won't tarnish the original... at the very least it will lose many a horror fan checking for Zombie's next horror picture. If it's great all the better, can't be worse than part 4 through 300... hahaha

I'm going to give Zombie the benefit of the doubt and blame the (IMO) horrible marketing so far on whatever company is behind this. The trailer screamed conventional and the poster is shit. I do actually like the font Halloween is written in though.
