I remember hearing that some 7-11's were gonna be temporarily turned into Kwik-E-Marts and sell Simpsons related products to hype the movie, but the film's approaching and I haven't heard any word on where/when this was going to take place.

Anyone heard anything recently about it?

The way that the original press release phrased it was that it was only going to be about 16-30 7-11s nationwide.

So, it should be a real crap shoot to find one. That or they dropped the promotion entirely.

I was hoping to have one pop up around here. However, I haven't heard a thing...Maybe it starts in July?

I'm sure Hollywood would get one so I think I'd be near one. I do have a fear that it was mentioned over 2 months ago and so far nothing....

In the current climate of marketing where branding it of upmost importance this seems unlikely to happen.

I'm sure they'll only do this for a few days before the movie opens. They'll probably just cover up the real signs with "Kwik-E Mart" posters and simple stuff like that. They won't spend thousands redoing the stores temporarily.

They did it.

the one store that got the full makeover in "Orlando" isn't even in Orlando, its all the way out by the fucking attractions. whatever. the 7-11 up the road still has Krusty-Os and Squishees. good enough for me. but no Duff though. that sucks.

I wouldn't recommend drinking Fudd, they took it off the market after all those hillbillies went blind.

They do have Buzz Cola, now I can find out if the bubbles really do burn my tongue.

Still, it's no Duff Bear though.

I was at a 7-11 the other day and did notice that the Slurpees are now Squishees (though there was no way to make an all syrup squishee) which is basically just changing the sign to a Squishee sign and having some of the cups say Squishee on them. All of the flavors were the usual 7-11 flavors, and that was the only product I saw. I think I'll go check out the one in Burbank or LA that have had the actual change. They should really get Apu look-a-likes to man the stores. Or James Woods.

Word is that the LA one is over at Venice & Sepulveda. No clue if that's true though.

You can find the addresses of the ones in Burbank and LA on 7-11's website. I wish I had known before as I was just in Burbank last night.

I'm totally going to the Burbank one and spending too much money on this thing. If I can't get drunk on Duff I'll get hammered on Captain Morgan + Buzz Cola instead.

I visited the Burbank store last night. There was about a 30 minute line to go in at about midnight. I got myself some Krusty O's and a Squishee.

The stores are pretty neat. Everything says Kwik E Mart, there's some clever signs inside and outside the store. The side of the building even has an EL BARTO and SKINNER STINKS tagging with Skinner's face on it.

I already had everything available.

Buzz Cola sucks.
The Donut is like a Diabetes Application.
Squishees are Slurpees so it's fine.
I haven't had the Krusty O's yet so I expect to start my morning with some sugary goodness.

Best signs I saw at the Kwik E Mart, "Get 3 Hot Dogs for the Price of 3!" and "Springfield Bank: Misplacing Decimals since 194.5"
