This could be cool.

So it appears that fans of Ocean's Twelve may actually get to hear some commentary and see deleted scenes after the film's initial bare-bones release.
As an OCEAN'S TWELVE devotee, I'd love to see it get a little more DVD respect than it currently has. And if Soderbergh/Clooney are really going to wrap up the franchise with THIRTEEN, this would be a nifty way to do a comprehensive OCEAN'S package...until the inevitable '10th Anniversary OCEAN'S Spray Set' or some such nonsense.

Having just trayed it last week, I completely agree that the OCEAN'S TWELVE DVD is appalling from the special feature perspective. Gotta love a menu which offers "Special Features" and takes you to a single item list for "Theatrical Trailer."

(Happily, the movie is still great, great, great, to this viewer at least. I enjoyed hearing Nick praising it -- and especially Soderbergh's "on fire" cinematography -- in his Playboy Radio review of OCEAN'S THIRTEEN.)

Soderbergh does really good commentary tracks. THE LIMEY, BUBBLE and his interview track with John Boorman on POINT BLANK come to mind. I'd really like to hear how successful he considers TWELVE to be, given some of the backpedaling Clooney and others have seemed to make from it in recent interviews.

Well it's more or less inevitable, isn't it? Did anybody not see it coming?

yeah it was bound to happen. Oh wait, then they'll do it again on HD. Pfft.

Proud to buy it, ashamed to own it. Ocean's box set, I will own you.
