Totally part of my childhood too. We also did "blood brothers/sisters", where you literally cut open your hand and mashed it with your friends' cut open hand. Then AIDs reared its ugly head and put an end to that little game.

My version of the "bloody knuckles" game involved taking turns flicking each other's knuckles until someone either a) pussed out and quit, or b) started to bleed. The best thing about it was that it usually became as painful for the flicker as it was for the flickee. So many memories...
