Wow. I guess that's a couple years old, but I hadn't heard any DeLa in a while. Sounds like they can still generate some good ones.

If you don't like this you should be sterilized.

ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT!!!!!

Not Really a live performance...But Pretty Damn Funny....

Apparently, Gibby Haynes from the Butthole Surfers tried to get on the Rush Limbaugh show years ago.

Go Gibby Go...

These are two pretty fantastic clips of New Order live in the BBC studios. I always think it's pretty amazing to watch "electronic" music performed live, especially since it's a genre that's often looked down on (and I fully admit to being one of those once doing the looking down); however, underestimating New Order's musical chops is silly--just try to keep up with rhythm section in "Age of Consent."

and, well, this one is pretty much just totally classic:

The Who:

Pink Floyd:
This is a live version of Fat Old Sun in two parts, the first is the build-up and then just explodes towards the end, the second builds up again. No visual, just aural but still awesome to listen to.

Dragon Ma:

I watched that Mahavishnu video last night. They're so awesome. Could McLaughlin be stoned in that clip?

I'll have to check out the Who and Pink Floyd clips that you posted too. "Fat Old Sun" is a great song.

Quite possibly but he was also really into spirituality at that point, he looks ready to become a monk.

Gov't Mule doing a cover of Black Sabbath's War Pigs, so heavy, I love it.

Gov't Mule aslo doing a kickass cover of ZZ Top's 'Just Got Paid.

Yeah, I got that CD ages ago and love it, that clip is actually video footage of the same performance.

One of the great mismatches in talk show history:
Husker Du on the Joan Rivers Show.

The performance is only okay - the interview is notably uncomfortable-looking, with Ms. Rivers broaching the topic of indie cred.

Wow, DaveB, thanks for that link (I think). You're right, that whole interview was uncomfortable and I was cringing a bit for the boys throughout it.

"Could You Be the One?" seemed really tentative, and I don't want to use the word "uninspired", but it definitely seemed... flat. Bob did get more perky on "She's A Woman", which helped (Bob was always my touchstone in HD, and I still follow his work today).

Unfortunately, I can't link to the memory I have of seeing Bob during one of his solo tours, playing "Sinners and Their Repentances" on the 12-string, cigarette burning and his choker tied so tight it was cutting into his neck. If only we had damn camera phones and tiny little video cameras back in the early 90's...

So, instead, I'll leave PJ Harvey doing 'Rid of Me', which owns in so many ways.

I already posted it in the National thread, but it's worth repeating:

Start a War

And The Arcade Fire, playing Neon bible in a freight elevator, then proceeding to open their live act with Wake Up in the crowd. Look for Neon Bible around the 3:00 mark and Wake Up at the 8:00 mark.

I've got a link to my youtube channel under my sig. It's all video taken from instore performances. I'm trying to figure out how to cut a 15-minute Polyphonic Spree show right now, I just uploaded some Nikki Sudden and Trail of Dead yesterday.

Some feedback would be nice!

The Arcade Fire covering Guns of Brixton by the Clash.

I've been trying to find this for ages after seeing it on the Culture Show month's ago. It's one of my favourite Clash Songs but the Arcade Fire just totally own it, it just sounds so apocalyptic it's unreal.

I posted this in the other YouTube thread, but here's Mastodon's video for Sleeping Giant. It's a pretty weird one, it's got a gay looking Doctor Doom and the bands disembodied stone heads shooting lasers from their eyes.
