I didn't know if this belonged in Music, Video Games, or East Coast Flava, so I thought I'd post the link here:

National Symphony Orchestra: Video Games Live™

This looks like the greatest thing ever. If I hadn't already shot my weekly entertainment-budgetary wad on Jimmy Buffett tickets for tomorrow night, I'd be all over this.

Are any Chewers going? Has anyone caught this show in another city?

I'm a proven geek Alex, but I sure as hell wouldn't have paid for that at the time. It was good, in fact, pretty great. But at the time, and still today, I just had bought the house. I was given these by my wife's boss, out of all thing.

It's worth it if you like videogames music, and the presence of sweaty nerds.

I saw them last year at the Hollywood Bowl and it was awesome.

I did not get a "only geeks here" vibe. There were all sorts of folks but there were the geek moments when everyone starts to cheer for certain themes.

If anyone does go, take your DS. It's Mario Kart heaven. Or just draw cocks and send it to everyone on the chat function.

I don't know if they play it anymore but when I saw them the Halo 3 trailer had just dropped so they ended up doing the music from the trailer at the very end with Steve Vai on guitar.
