I got Andre Johnson and Steven Jackson in my big money league. I'm hurting right now. Thank God McGahee is paying off. Too bad Torry Holt and Larry Fitzgerald are starting off slow. I thought I had a good team but my studs are all underperforming (except Andre who was AWESOME before the injury)
Wow. Dropped down to 10 of 12 after my 100 FP loss. At least I have to bench MJD this weekend due to the bye.

3 Weeks down and here are my teams progress thus far:

14 Teams
12 money leagues, 2 just for bragging rights

3 undefeated teams (3-0)
9 teams with one loss (2-1)
1 team at 1-2
1 team at 0-3

How individual players affected me
Injured Andre Johnson is on 6 of my teams (including the 0-3 and 1-2 teams)
Injured Steven Jackson is on 4 of my teams (including my BIG MONEY league <2-1>). He is also on the 0-3 team with Andre Johnson.
Ladanian Tomlinson was my first round pick for my 1-3 team
Brian Westbrook is banged up and is on 4 of my teams
I took Matt Schaub expecting big things (and now his top 2 receivers and starting running back are all hurt) in 9 leagues.

So far I am doing pretty good for the season but these injuries are killing me

Strangely enough, my three undefeated teams have one thing in common: Their strength is at Wide Receiver and not running back. Players on the three teams include Roy Williams, Marvin Harrison, Anquan Boldin, Chad Johnson and Randy Moss with at least 2 of each of those players on each team. One of the teams includes Harrison, Roy Williams and Andre Johnson (when healthy). And to think, I have always drafted running back heavy.

i cant believe i fucking lsot this week.

i went to sleep monday night thinking i was comfortably ahead.

Looks like I need to shake things up a bit, or I won't be contending by the end of the year.

Damn...

LT will turn things around, Jason. Also, Brees wont suck all year. Him and Rothlesberger in a platoon is pretty nice. Also, Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne are studs. Shaun McDonald was a great pick up too.

I would say you need one more receiver and a reliable backup running back and you should be fine. And get rid of that Rams defense! Tennessee is available and Tampa Bay is coming around too.
Halla-fucking-lleujah! LJ broke 100 yards! And vs. the Chargers, no less. Now let's put some TDs on those stats and get MJD going the next game.

If Wes Welker, Shockey, and Derrick Ward can all combined outscore McNabb, I'll be back at .500.
Fuck me. That was some ugly ass football played yesterday across the board.

Maybe it is because I am in so many leagues, and notice more, but have there ever been this many injuries to major players so early in the season?

On just the teams I own, This Sunday I was without

Steven Jackson, Andre Johnson, Brandon Jackson, Todd Heap, Caddilac Williams, Anquan Boldin, Ahman Green, Marvin Harrison, Santana Moss, Marc Bulger, Laurence Maroney, LJ Smith, Terry Glenn and Hines Ward

And even though they were on bye, my injured players included Brian Westbrook and LaMont Jordan

And not on my team there was Jake Dellhomme, Joseph Addai, Rudi Johnson (on bye, but still hurt), Issac Bruce, Vernan Davis, Javon Walker, Jacoby Jones, Deuce McAllister and Santonio Holmes.

This week, add to the list Trent Green, Damon Huard, maybe Jamal Lewis, Matt Leinart, Deion Branch, Antwain Randell El and Michael Pittman

Hell, Shaun Alexander and Clinton Portis are playing injured. Brandon Jacobs just returned from his week one injury and will have to split carries with his former backup, Chester Taylor returned last week but will lose lots of carries to AP.

Then look at the fact that the top 3 players pre-draft (LT, LJ and Steven Jackson) were all playing like shit and this is a very wierd fantasy year. With Travis Henry about to get suspended, how many first round fantasy picks are even still playing right now at a first round level?

I count 22 impact starters out this week injured, 3 more on bye but still hurt, 7 more injured this week and at least 2 playing hurt and 2 others who will lose carries because of an injury sustained earlier.

Next week, there may be up to 32 starting impact players out.

This is ridiculous

You're not wrong, SD. It's a banner year for injuries. Add in Hines Ward as well. On top of all that, it's been a weird year anyway. NO is a complete bust. You would probably have been smart to just take the skill positions and Def for Dallas, Indy and NE and just play them. Everyone else has been really erratic (save Ronnie Brown).
I'll cosign that and add the Cincy offense. There is just so much shit out there. If you drafted top 5 you are probably fucked. LT/SJ/LJ are busts and Addai is hurt.

I've never seen a fantasy year so shitty. Drafting next year will be rough. Who to keep in the CHUD keeper league will be a problem too. All the guys I had hoped to step up-Cutler, Benson, Daniels haven't done shit. And Parker isn't scoring.
On my dynasty team, I've lost 6 players to injury so far. I have two IR spots (which were taken before the reg. season began) and one of my "practice squad" players got injured. Then I've lost 3 more guys since the season has started. So far:

Daniel Bullocks
Chike Okeafor
Sabby Piscatelli
Rob Morris
Peerless Price
Richard Seymour

I've had to give up roster spots to keep Morris, Okeafor and Seymour because I know if I drop them, someone else will snatch them up for next year.

Ye gods. Tony Romo is now killing me. All I needed was a measly 15 FP.
And Tony pulls it out of his ass and gives me the win. Phew.

He's clutch. Worst game of his career and he still has the moxy to lead the Cowboys to 2 scores in the last minute to win the game.

I think we need to create a trophy for our league. Something the previous year's winner adds a special something to and ships on to the new winner and so on. CHUD league winner deserves some recognition.

Says the man with the best team in the league.

It should be something different than a regular trophy. A plaque with a DVD copy(the case+dvd) of C.H.U.D. or The Manitou stuck on. A trophy and a movie to pass down.

Room for the winners would work too.

It certainly needs to be created. A sort of FF Frankenstein trophy of some sort. And I wouldn't say I have the best team in the league by any stretch. I've gotten extremely lucky with Ronnie Brown and my WR's.

Yes, and this week you go against the juggernaut that is... uh... well, actually, you just play me, the Underperforming Mofos.

But I will prevail!
iim pretty pissed about not playing kenton keith.

i literally had him in my lineup at 12:55 pm EST...and decided it would be a better idea not to play him.

As guy in my big money league picked him up and started him an hour before Sunday's game.

I just want to curl up in the corner and cry...
The week's not over yet, but as of right now, there are an abundance of blowouts in the league. Holy crap. LT decides to go postal today and LJ helps me, but not enough. Brandon Jacobs, Eli Manning and Jeremy Shockey, I command you to have the greatest games of your lives vs. the Falcons Monday night.
I need 70 points from Plaxico Burress and the NY defense to pull this out. I think I can, I think I can ...
Anya, I want to pull for you to beat the Sharks, but the guy I'm playing in my Dynasty league also has Toomer. So get 4.1 FP and be done with it.
I wisely played Sammy Morris and Ben Watson. Both go down in the first half against Dallas and don't come back. My Griese play turned out alright though.

Root for the Giants Kick who I also have going. I don't have much faith in Toomer but I need this win.
Well, if I had stuck with my both of my horses (LJ & MJD), I would've won this week. Dammit. I lost by about 18 FP in my Dynasty League as well.
Thank you Toomer. Back to .500 an have favorable match up vs Fazer. First here I come.
A shitty weekend for my real teams = A great weekend for my fantasy teams. I withstand the onslaught of Tom Brady's 6 TDs with my WRs and LJ (and still have MJD tonight).

In my Dynasty league, I had the same two WRs in the CHUD league plus Tom Brady on my side, and I outscored the guy by 80 FP and I still have Rashean Mathis tonight.

looks like you just jinxed yourself anya.
My team is really stinking so far. I think I'd like to postpone the keeper league conversion for a season.
4 FP. Dammit. I'm literally win/lose/win/lose/etc. At least I'm doing decent in my Dynasty league. I'm still in 4th place there, riding Tom Brady to success.
I managed to win in all 3 of my leagues this week, by a total of about 12 points. Brett Favre for MVP!
im trying to move lendale white. im open to offers.
If I win this league, it will be a minor miracle. Good think I picked up and started Griese.

And Fazer I would have taken you up on your deal but my WR's are my only consistent producers.
