Got this in the mail today and cracked up.

Maybe cause I imagined seeing the girl screaming at a duck shadow hand-puppet.

What a crappy shadow puppet. Doesn't even look like a duck.

Tony Todd's in it too... I would expect a better shadow puppet from the Candyman.

Blalock's attributes should cast impressive shadows.

I just glanced at that cover; and for some strange, Freudian reason thought the film was called 'Sweater Puppies'.

Odd.

Give the man a break; he's kind of limited by the hook, after all.

The title also has a Full Moon/Charles Band vibe to it.

I'm confused. Is the girl on the cover afraid of the shadow or the thing that makes the shadow? Cause if it's the shadow itself, she could just... I don't know... turn a light on.

Or, better yet, make that doggie and/or alligator shadow puppet with her own hand to attack the other shadow puppet. Barking and/or growling helps to sell the illusion.

Just don't call the ShadowBusters. That just makes you look like a big pussy.

Why is she covering her ears?

That's how the shadow puppets get into your brain... and become the true Puppet Master.

Pull the strings! Pull the strings!

This is a job for Dollman!

Is she trying to hide from her own shadow? Cuz you totally can't do that.

Not by covering your ears, you can't. Covering the eyes totally works though, preferably under your blanket/pillow/possessed toy clown.

Cover your ears... No wait, I mean eyes! Eyes! The DVD won't be able to find you.

Todd was in the Women in Prison horror flick "Shadow: Dead Riot". After seeing that, Trust me when I say the Candyman has spent any and all horror fan goodwill he had. I think he's working for a fifth of jack Daniels nowadays.

That was terrible. Couldn't finish it without the fast-forward button and thrusting something into my eyes.

I did a quick IMDB search once I saw JM was in this. He has a co-lead role in a real movie this year! Called P.S. I Love You.

the cast is full of recognizable names.

hahaha! Yours if you want it.

Surge- you're right. Tony Todd has been in a whole lot of bad horror movies lately, like that new Jeckell and Hyde adaptation that was so bad I walked out of the screening. Check out his imdb page, he's been in like 30 movies in the last three years.
