The announcement by Anthony, president of the civil rights organization's Detroit branch, came shortly before the start of the annual Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner. He said members and supporters of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will conduct services and a "eulogy" for the racial slur.

NAACP, how long before a mock funeral for the antiquated term "Colored People"? If Crayola can change "Flesh" to "Peach" in 1962... (Partly in response to the civil rights movement, Crayola decides to change the name of the “flesh” crayon to “peach.” Renaming this crayon was a way of recognizing that skin comes in a variety of shades).

"We are committed to ending hate — word and talk," Anthony said. "It doesn't do anyone any good, whether it's a journalist on TV or a rapper on the radio."
Even though there are no journalists on TV using this word.

Very silly.

Digging the grave proved difficult, as they'd retired spades the year before.

Do you think kyke will show up as a pallbearer? I know those two have had their differences but it's time to let bygones be bygones.

Now that it's dead, does it make it a spook?

I regret that I have but one point to give to the reputation of Horrid.

Now if they could keep all the rappers and white wannabe's from using the word. Honestly, what's worse, inbred rednecks in Alabama who only communicate to like-minded fools or multi-platinum "role models" with platforms that reach millions?

I was genuinely surprised at how many of the former listen to the latter. If only they knew who truly represented their fanbase!

Anybody else remember the mock funeral for the word 'Def'? Al Sharpton did the eulogy for that.

Small Texas town held funeral on Saturday.

On a lighter note, I found this while looking for the above video:

"What If I called you a nigger?"
"What? I'd feel pretty sad!"

Lotta great quotes in that one.

But "ho" is still acceptable (for now, HURRY!), just not as effective for digging.

Well, I guess if you want to dig your OWN grave, they're quite effective.
