Came out today. Pretty fantastic. Worth your ten bucks.

Although if you didn't like Feeling Kinda Patton, you probably won't like this one either. Also, you have shitty taste in comedy.

I was planning to give it a shot but the first cd was a shifty bit of comedy

Robert Evans? The bits about gay retarded people? Michael Damien? Love it.

"We're here! We're queer! We... APPLES!"

To misquote Mr. Oswalt:

The greatest movie title of all time is Texas Chainsaw Massacre. You hear Texas, this is gonna suck; Chainsaw, oh God; Massacre, holy fuck!!

Yeah, the new one's great.

"AMERICA! EATIN' MY LUNCH FROM A SINGLE BOWL! LIVING IN MY PARENTS' BASEMENT! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I'M 43!"

Feeling Kinda Patton was the trimmed down version of his set at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA. You can get the uncut version of that show (nearly 2 hours on 2 discs) from his website. It's vastly superior to the "studio cut" version on the wide release.

I don't know how many times I've listened to it in the last two years, but it's still in my comedy CD rotation between Dane Cook and the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.....I KEED, I KEED.

Strangely enough, I spent about an hour fuckin around on YouTube for Oswalt clips - not too many.

Having lived in MA, I love his Tom Carvel bit. THere is a good video of him doing an impersonation of that creepy furniture fucker from Cleveland, OH.

HERE!

I preferred his take on Cirque De Soleil:

"Do you mind if my life partner and I dress a up in tuxedoes, kiss and pledge eternal love to each other"

"Fuck you"

"How about I give him a blow job on a tight rope?"

"Great!"

There's a concert "Werewolves and Lollipops" DVD out today, also. If you're on the fence about the great Patton Oswalt, pop the DVD into your Netflix queue.

I preferred the shorter version meself ... Yay, he's drunk on wine. Big deal. Tell me jokes.

Can't wait to pick up this new one.

Oddly enough on the day of a Patton Oswalt thread, there's a Patton Oswalt interview over at The Onion A.V. Club

I hear he released a new CD also. A new thread, CD, and interview at the same time? What a weird coincidence!

I loved this CD enough to change my User Title.

His bit of business towards the end of his "punch-up" monologue absolutely murdered me the first time I listened to it. "Whackity Schmakity Doooooo". Pretty great standup CD.

His bit about George Lucas and the prequels is pretty glorious.

I picked it up. Maybe it won't suck as hard as his first.

Just listened to it last night, and you stole my idea to the letter. That's such a great bit.

Wow. A standup whose routines are based on the idea that his material is actually funny. Great stuff. Though I'm left pondering how Disney execs reacted to the idea of hiring this guy for a G-rated movie. Not that he wasn't great, but this guy?

Picked it up too after recommendations on here. I love it. Thanks guys.

Listened to this album for the first time on the way home last night and nearly ran off the road at the KFC bit. Listened to more this morning and nearly ran off the road again at the "Physics for Poets" bit. I can't put into words how funny I think the Sulu punchline is.

As an aside, Patton's been a recent personal "discovery" of mine in that while I've always appreciated his writing, there was a bit of a disconnect for me in the telling. I have no idea why. But through THE COMEDIANS OF COMEDY and now this album, that disconnect has been obliterated.

A few titles have been mentioned in this thread. All I've got right now on album is WEREWOLVES. Can anyone recommend what else I should be looking for? DVDs or CDs. Thanks.

His other stand-up CD is Feelin' Kinda Patton. It's even better than Werewolves.
