48 HOURS/ANOTHER 48 HOURS Double Feature DVD

I just found out earlier tonight that the double feature set of the 2 vintage Walter Hill classics that was recently released is presented in Anamorphic Widescreen. Aside from that significant improvement though, there doesn't seem to be any other extras ('cept maybe for the theatrical trailers).

Less than $10 shipped at Deep Discount. I guess I can finally give my old letterboxed copy of the first flick to my brother. For fans of the films, probably worth the double-dip (or in my case, a single and a half dip), as I somehow doubt these babies will get SE treatment.

48 Hrs deserves it, but it ain't gonna happen. If you buy any of the Murphy Paramount SE's (Coming to America, Trading Places or... Norbit) there's a $3 off coupon inside, so it's good to stagger the purchases if you go for a Best Buy. Looks like The Bevery Hills Cop triple feature's non-anamorphic. Will confirm soon.

I got 'em both (the Cop triple feature and the 48hrs. double) and they're all anamorphic. Not bad for 20 bucks, even if I never will watch Cop 3. No extras on 48 hrs. There was apparently some Annette O' Toole nudity cut out which would have made an awesome deleted scene. Stupid artistic integrity.

Thanks for the heads up on the $3 coupon, amigo. I was thinking about picking up the TRADING PLACES SE back when it first released.

I had the old SE of BHC, and I swears it wasn't anamorphic, though that may have just been 48 Hrs.

I really hope Paramount sneaks out an anamorphic Escape from LA.

Thanks alexc. Damn, not even a trailer?

I already own CAT PEOPLE, so the lack of Annette O' Toole nudity don't bother me too much.

I didn't get it because it was mislabeled as THE GANZ BROS. QUADRILOGY.

Did I see this in Target or was that some sort of full screen edition. Cause i definitely saw this double feature disc in Target.

I need to hear a Russell/Carpenter commentary for that movie.

A KEHOE retrospective for Another 48 would be nice too.

I'm not sure what to think about Brion James turning out to be the big bad guy in Another 48 Hours. On one hand it's wildly out of left field. On the other hand, it's bizarre enough to feel a little bit awesome.
