The Amusement Park Deaths Thread

What's with the sudden explosion of amusement park accidents and deaths? It seems you hear one or two every year but lately it's been about three or four a week.

Now some kid drowned: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,289161,00.html

A four year old shouldn't have been in the wave pool in the first place.

People are dying to get in.

I don't know what's so sudden about it. As long as there have been amusement parks people have been dying in them. There's a book about Disney that has a chapter about the many deaths there (People Mover and the lake around Tom Sawyer island seemed to be tied). Three of four a week is a bit of an exaggeration though.

There is nothing "sudden" about it. Did you read what I wrote? I asked what was with the sudden explosion of deaths and accidents occurring? It just seems that before it was a few every summer but in just the past few weeks there's been at least three to four stories a week of some type of accident or death at an amusement park. I'm aware it happens every year it just seems this year more so then ever. Unless I just don't pay attention enough. Are there any statistics about this type of stuff?

I like to call it carny-age.

Why would God strike down all of these people (especially a Christian woman at Lifest)? Well, obviously you haven't heard about "God's Plan" and how he works in mysterious ways.

God has been really amping up his recruitment efforts for his war against the Demons in heaven. He needs as many able souls as he can get, and what better place to find an able soul than at Lifest? Digging a trench in a cloud is a lot harder than it sounds!

I'm just a little curious as to whether she got her offering refunded.

So really not so much a ride, as it was a bridge.

Little did he know when he wrote on his job application

Eyes: blue

Hair: Fair headed

He was really signing his own death warrant.
