Legendary: The Box

What a terrible title. But what a great looking game. I can't believe I haven't heard of it until today (if the hard-working CHUD journalists have mentioned this before, sorry). The premise is that Pandora's box has been opened and a bunch of mythical beasts are plaguing New York.

I have to say, the graphics look pretty great, assuming it's a sandbox game.

I fully support the title, though. It got me to click on this thread, even though I knew I wasn't going to get what I was imagining.

EDIT: It's an FPS, I just noticed.

I think it's a "normal" FPS, not a sandbox game. Still, it looks like it could be some dumb fun.

C'mon, it has gryphons in it!

IGN had a little bit about this a couple weeks ago, sounded promising.

Every time I saw this title, I thought it was referring to the kitty helmet version of HALO 3. I didn't know it was a game not involving space marines and religious aliens.

I'm suddenly filled with an intense desire to shoot the fuck out of a gryphon.

This looks interesting, nice catch Overlord.

Looks neat.

And it's published by a company named Gamecock. What's not to like ?

EDIT: grammar

Looks like a lot of fun, as well as much sharper and up-to-date than Hellgate: London does (the two seem to share a similar premise of 'beasts in London run amok').

Parenthetically, I've been really excited about HG:L, but every update I see makes it look like it belongs in 2002.

Looks good but that title is horrible. Sounds like a Jenna Jameson Best Of DVD.

Well, I'll scratch this one off my list.

The game certainly doesn't sound good, but the numerical score seems way too low compared to the text.

IGN likes to fulfill its "terrible score" quota on mediocre-to-bad games without the marketing leverage to bite back.

Could also be that this is a real, real, real bad time to release a terrible game.
