Earlier this week Latino Review ran a rumor about Todd Phillip’s Hangover 2 with their source pegging the script as revolving around, or at least including, a plot taking place in Thailand as the gang pieces together a wild night that included a tranny-hook-up for Stu. Thailand has long been rumored and denied as the exotic location to which the Hangover crew would be journeying, but now it’s settled- they‘re going to Bangkok.

Tranny-times therefore remain strongly possible for the sequel, and we’re sure to get a trailer cut to a 1984 electro-dance pop song about chess.

The confirmation comes from Murray himself, who spoke to Empire and promises “fucked up surprises” and that Cooper, Helms, Galifianakis, and even Ken Jeong will be back (Tyson is almost certainly going to cameo as well).

This is a comedy sequel that is sure to be huge, since the film really struck a chord with audiences and raked in nearly half-a-billion dollars, making it the highest-grossing R-Rated comedy (and highest-grossing Las Vegas travel flick) of all time.

The Hangover 2 will get the summer rolling on May 26th, 2011.
