Where the hell do they get those MSRP's? $30 bucks for a DVD? Unless you buy them at Barnes and Noble (without a membership card), maybe…but the rest of the country will have them at $15 bucks at release and then in the bargain bin by Smarch!

No matter how much CHUD.com loves the director of this movie, it will not make this movie any better. It had promise but it doesn't add anything.

Just read the book, which was amazing (and so much grimmer than the Swedish movie). Hoped the remake would incorporate Hakan's 'arc' from the book, culminating in Tommy's role in it (fuck, that was grim reading – and truly horrific), but just read on Wikipedia that it didn't. Will probably still give it a go though.

#4–Personally, I like the Saturday morning thing…it's fun. I enjoy reconsidering the Saturday mornings of my youth (Gilligan's Planet, anyone?). But I do agree. If we're going to talk about remaking foreign films for the American market, let's actually talk about it, dissect the merits and demerits, and so on. No need for a press release. That's why I go to sites that focus on bluray releases…when I come to CHUD (which, I admit, gets less of my reading time than it used to), I want discussion and thought. Along with a good dose of snarkiness, to be sure. Never thought I'd say this, because I disagreed with him 80% of the time, but I find myself missing Devin.

Love the movie, but that is one ugly cover. The movie had beautiful posters, too. What a shame
