Too old if Seyfried is the model.

Megan Fox has been trying to pull an Angelina in her look. Playing a girl in a mental institution would be the next step.

Yeah, Brittany Murphy could be great. I really don't know how to fantasy cast this. Seyfried really did have a great combination of youth, good looks and the Russ Meyer aesthetic for this film. Drats.

If she can sort herself out, Lohan. And I am totally serious about that. She was good enough for Altman after all.

Olivia Thirlby = good acting + hotness. This was never gonna be a Russ Meyer movie with girls like Seyfried and Stone running around... sure, they're really hot, but not much about them screams Meyer... so just make it a cool action flick with a bunch of hotties.

This movie sounds right up my alley.

If I'm to engage in fan-casting, I'll second Cynic's offering of Thirlby. That said this is a movie that has caught me based on it's premise, so the leading lady isn't going to make or break my decision to buy a ticket. (Though she may very well be the thing about the movie that elevates it, or the thing that sinks it.)

Still, Thirlby would be a pretty great choice. Or Fox. Not that either feels particularly "Meyers" to me, though I think Thirlby's much closer than Fox.

From my understanding of the role, this seems like a Rose McGowan vehicle (is there such a thing?), it just seems too obvious though and she doesn't have the youth anymore to boot.

I'm with Jona: if Lohan can get her shit together, this could be a cool 'comeback' vehicle.

I agree with agracru, the girl needs to have hotness and acting talent in equal measure. Or near equal, otherwise this is just gonna be thrown in the could have been good pile.

That boots Lohan in my book. Seyfried is even way ahead of her on that level...

Lohan would be a terrible choice. She needs to put herself into supporting roles before she goes back to lead otherwise she'll overshadow the production.

Just found out that Amanda Seyfried's hometown is 20 minutes from where I grew up. Go Lehigh Valley!

Acting? Just throwing out some eye candy... Monica Keena? Jenna Dewan? Mila Kunis? Erica Durance? Mrs. Billy Zane AKA Kelly Brook, Dushku? Hathaway? I doubt ScarJo could play crazy. Boobs.

Christina Hendricks is only 34!!!

Dushku would be my choice based on where it seems this project is going. I can see the girl who played Faith working well in a film like this.

Winstead would probably do it too and I'd probably like her in it.

I think trainwreck Lohan would completely Tarantino/Waters both her and Zack Snyder. This needs to happen.

Amy Smart, she can do Crazy and it would be good to have her actually star in something. Girl got good licks and is gonna come out well from Crank 2, she just needs to break out of the eye-candy scream-queen cul-de-sac she's currently speeding down.

...actually the Isla Fischer suggestion's the most promising so far by a long shot in my opinion. She's got the chops and just offbeat enough that she could do crazy well.

Eliza Dushku has only, like, two or three acting modes. Why would anyone fantasy cast her for something that requires more than looking hot and acting tough?
Isla Fisher and Amy Adams suggestions are what is called thinking with brains.

It's not the 90's anymore. Stars don't really open movies. If it were true Assassination of Jesse James with one Bradley Pitt would have made more than a paltry $4 Million. And it's one of the greatest movies ever too.

I will never ever get the Dushku love, what did she do to become this icon of geekdom? She's not that hot in relations to other hotter women. And a pretty weak actress.

Maybe because he takes things that geeks like and then cons mainstream audiences into liking them too, thus a) validating the geeks obsessions while b) still giving them the opportunity to feel superior to the unwashed masses that don't "get" every single reference? Plus, hot chicks.

Botch, outside of...Buffy The Vampire Slayer (when Sarah Michelle Geller's character was fun, and happy during the 5year WB run...as opposed to UPN's handling of the series, I do not care for Whedon. I was also relieved that Joss Whedon bowed out of directing...Wonder Woman as well. Just the notion that he did not understand that WW wore a red, white, and blue outfit to honor her adoptive country...The USA, shows that he likely would have made a poor Wonder Woman film.

I'd go along with most of the names mentioned above. Just don't see it with Autumn Reeser, though. She's never done anything for me as an actress or otherwise. Brittany Snow is watchable and hot.

Yeah, because ANGEL, FIREFLY and SERENITY were such massive mainstream hits.

Consider the possibility that Joss is loved because he writes genre stories that feature characters and themes that resonate outside of that genre.
