From Ben Kingsley’s odd (and chilling) Mandarin accent to a darker and very un-Marvel tone, the Iron Man 3 trailer leaves us with much to discuss in the coming days. Personally, I’m digging it. This introduction to Phase 2 of Marvel movies suggests a summer blockbuster attempting to raise the stakes and put Tony Stark through the ringer, no easy task after The Avengers (which Stark mentions here). Hardly an indicator of the finished product, but it does everything a good blockbuster trailer is supposed to do.
Here is your first real look at Shane Black’s Iron Man 3. Was it worth the wait?

Tim Kelly, That trailer is…Awesome. Ben Kingsley looks like he will be a better Mandarin, than I thought originally.
The trailer actually killed my excitement for the film. Sure… it looks like it has excitement in spades, but I didn’t really connect with it.

Wow. Now that’s a trailer. I still haven’t seen Iron Man 2, but I want to see this one so badly.
I like Kingsley’s “…teachurrrr.” Has a nice weirdo ring to it.
