In White House Down, Channing Tatum is a Secret Service Agent tasked with rescuing the president (Jamie Foxx) from a hostage situation inside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. So yeah, pretty much Die Hard in the White House.
I can totally see that. I have no idea what to expect from Jamie Foxx’s POTUS, but this has all the makings of either an awesome action movie or a beautiful train wreck. And director Roland Emmerich has a lot of experience making both:

I can only hope that Foxx’s POTUS is an Iraq or Afghanistan veteran with special forces training who gets in on the action (a la Harrison Ford’s President)! I think it will end up being an awesome action movie because it’s a beautiful train wreck!
My, what a stupid title.
He is even dressing like McLaine…it is weird that a black president has to be saved by a white hero-couldn’t Will Smith have saved President Jamie?
But if someone shouts “We got a White House down!” into a radio at some point, it will magically transform into brilliant.
