Dreamworks has stepped it up in the last few years, so I’m always open to their new efforts. This Turbo trailer doesn’t really give all that much of an idea of what this is going to be, but I like the joke. Sharp move trading in on that Drive vibe for the rug-pull…
This July 19th release will have quite the cast, with voices including Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Kurtwood Smith, Snoop Dogg, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Dreamworks always has a lot of names. Generally it feels stunty to me. Sometimes it works but when they show me a long list of names I don’t get excited. I get bored. I just remember that Pixar vs Dreamworks pic (http://i49.tinypic.com/2ch4wvk.jpg) and it reminds me of when Disney would cast voices behind a curtain. The fact that outside of Toy Story I don’t really recall Pixar films being advertised with a list of big names.
