I liked The Last Exorcism. It’s a good indicator of how much a filmmaker can get away with while still being able to slap a PG-13 rating on it. It has a great twist and ending, all centered around a strong performance by Ashley Bell.
Some dismissed it, but the film had this sense of dread that was prevalent throughout. It all built up to a finale that was pretty damn creepy and, as I said previously, pushed the boundaries of the PG-13 rating. Although it still fell into that silly trap of “Cameraman is dead, so movie is over.”
Now we have our first look at the sequel in the form of a fresh trailer. I’m digging the usage of Roman numerals. Not enough sequels use those anymore.

The original was a pretty good film marred only by Ashley Bell’s uncanny and unsettling resemblance to Michael Cera.
I haven’t felt this cheated since Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
The 1st one was good but my mouth is watering for the sequel. I love religious horror because it seems more real like it could really happen which it has as in the true story behind the exorcist but man this looks good. Cannot wait to go see this.
