What made the original so great was the fact that McClane was the everyman hero with some vulnerabilities…..that’s gone out the window quickly.
That being said, I don’t care if he’s milking it at this point. The original Die Hard is almost the perfect action film (and 2 and 3 were pretty good). Willis gets a free pass for life to keep pumping these out.
