“Space: the final frontier? What do you think this is? Star Trek? Before, no, if we decide to get to that, here’s a Khan-like Englishman blowing shit up in London. Actually he’s not really blowing shit up. He’s already blown everything up. Now he’s just kinda looking at it.”

I’m excited for this movie, but I gotta say that looked like one of those commercials for a paperback book that used to play on late night tv all the time, where they would badly animate the book’s cover.
It’ll be so dark, f’ed up and gritty. I bet Kirk and Spock are going to get INTENSE in this one. This isn’t your grand daddies Star Trek, that’s for sure!
What is it with all this vengeance shit? Do you know anyone whose grand ambition in life is to have their vengeance? And on the verge of having it, stands around pontificating about it beforehand? Almost none of the TOS villains were interested in vengeance.
They were mainly interested in being understood, or stopping their children or co-robots getting fucked up, or becoming energy beings or something. But ever since bloody Khan every bloody Star Trek villain’s got to be harping on about all the bad things some bloke in a starfleet uniform did to him or his great uncle once upon a time.
Enough with it. It’s worse than the fucking dark side of the force. If I see or hear one more star trek mcguffin about vengeance, that’s it, I am swearing off the whole thing forever. And that’s a big deal because I love Star Trek. Love it. So if you Hollywood hacks fuck it up for me then … I am going to have to have my vengeance. Do you hear me? Vengeance!
Er, vengeance by sarcasm …
