It’s a little over a month before GI Joe: Retaliation starts belatedly retaliating all over our asses. If this movie sucks, that suckage hasn’t been evident in the trailers. I said it a year ago and I’ll reiterate it now: any film that offers ninjas fighting on a cliff has my attention. Having sampled a chunk of footage some weeks ago, I can tell you that the ninja cliff-fighting sequence actually benefits from some pretty seamless 3D post-conversion – long touted by Paramount as their reasoning for shelving the film for a year. Today the theatres, tomorrow the Library of Congress.

Besides, Bruce Willis kind of owes us after last week’s abomination.
