The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been offering up a wealth of photos these past few weeks, going so far as revealing Spidey’s fancy new Ditko-esque duds yesterday. It’s not much of anything, but these set photos provide first glimpse of Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) as Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Inheriting a role last held by Kristin Dunst in the Raimi trilogy, Woodley will be joined by returnees Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone as well as Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) as Harry Osbourne. Woodley’s charming performance was my favorite thing about The Descendants, so I have no fear she’ll be just as capable here.
But for now all these pictures confirm is that Shailene Woodley’s hair color is red:

Had never heard of her before this, so I googled her.
This is, perhaps, the least flattering picture of her on the entire internet.
Good LORD that’s a terrible picture.
And soon will come the inevitable flood of hateful “OMG SHE’S SO UGLY” comments

I feel nothing for this production. Absolutely nothing at all. ASM was such a vapid moviegoing experience for me, coming back for another round would be like eating paper.
Pretty sure it’s Emma Stone not Emma Watson. Though based on this picture, they should have gotten Watson to play Mary Jane.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead as mary jane… that is all… why is it so hard to cast MJ? this girl looks so bland and boring for what MJ has to be… disapointing to say the least but hey, they need to save money right?

She’s pretty hot in the Descendants so….. I’ll take this as a bad picture.
Um, yeah. I think they’ve taken the “girl next door” idea for MJ a tad too far with this casting. There’s a fine line between MJ being approachable, and her looking so bland you’d just walk straight past.
Ah, the wonderful world of make up. Most “beautiful” actresses look distinctly like ordinary people without the slap, which is why natural beauties stand out. Same for chaps, absent decent skin care, clothes and hair.
That is a TERRIBLE picture of her. Makes her look like John Cena’s teenage sister.
Maybe the calibration is off on my monitor but she has brown hair in that picture.
I think the main problem is that her neck is as big as her head.
I know this is horrible, but she looks like Channing Tatum in drag.
