This has apparently been on the interwebs for a while, so forgive me if you’ve seen this before. But I’ve just discovered this video that dudes by the names of Jon and Al Kaplan put together adding some swing and big band vibes to John Carpenter’s The Thing. They have some more stuff out there from the looks of it by way of Robocop and Conan, but I can’t help but love this. “Gary’s a liar,” indeed:

Nah, it’s some guy named Nick Amado. That stuff is awesome — need to watch the Conan the Barbarian one next.
Boy, I am really digging this. I love The Thing, my favorite horror movie.
These are also the guys who did “Silence! The Musical”, featuring the hits “If I Could Smell Her Cunt” and “Put the Fucking Lotion in the Basket”.
