Right here we have our first look at the international trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness. It’s a pretty badass two minutes, with Trek seemingly aping Kirk and Khan’s rivalry without rehashing Khan. The trailer still doesn’t name the Cumberbatch’s John Harrison, though it’s clear that JJ’s playing up the terrorist overtones here. This has all the inklings of another Joker/Loki/Silva master schemer on our hands. Even so, there are some pretty epic shots here and something mildly disturbing about seeing a Federation starship crash into a city filled with people.

It looks very exciting and fun and I will be in the theater to see it. However, all the earthbound action Paramount is shoving down our throats while great looking kinda concerns me. I don’t want a Star Trek earth based movie! They got spaceships! Go fight this guy on a comet or some shit like that!
Your comment reminds me of Superman Returns in which Supes lifts succesively heavier objects until everythings ok lol.
