See? He’s not actually dead. Don’t take everything you read on the internet so seriously. Christ.
But Val Kilmer might wish his fate was different…he’s taken over the gig as the voice of K.I.T.T. in NBC’s Knight Rider revival. Short version: Wil Arnett had finished his work for the show, but then someone realized, hey, this guy shills for GM Trucks! And we’re a Ford-sponsored show! Um, can we get an arbitrator in here? Arnett walked (with honor) and Kilmer happened to be in the next recording booth doing voice work for the long-rumored Catalan translation of Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.
The jokes write themselves, but I love Kilmer so I’m going to hold off on the jokes and just sit in the corner so I can have a short, good cry.

Roles as dead corpses in foreign westerns, TV work doing the voice of a car for a remake of an 80's action show…How far and fast he's fallen. But they can't all be "The Island of Dr. Moreau" I guess.
How truly depressing. The thought of Arnet lending his golden larynex to the role of KITT was the only trump card the Knight Rider Redux could possibly have used to reel me in .
and here I thought the new Knight Rider couldn't get much worse. It reminds me of a cross between Knight Rider 2000 and Viper.
Couldn't we just have "Knight Boat" already?
