We got a Cease and Desist from Paramount for running that Japanese ad which gave away the crystal skull from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull; I imagine we’ll get another one from Universal over this picture reader Brian Henne sent us of a toy ad featuring the design of The Abomination from The Incredible Hulk. It’s not like this is a stolen image – it’s from an ad that got printed early! You can’t keep everything secret.
Anyway, The Abomination doesn’t have those lovable big ears that he has in the comics, which I am actually bummed about. Since the guy was otherwise a pretty generic looking monster, I guess this brown, striated version of Tim Roth will do just fine. Below is more of the ad where from whence this image came.

Abomination gives Hulk the MEGA CLAP after ramming him with his "steel' pipe weapon… The sad, pasty denizens of slashfic forums everywhere are gonna love this shit!
Aw man, their not going to make him gooey, are they?
I love the Abomination's dinosaur/frog look. Why must Horrywood screw everything up?
Ah, the hulk's only weakness: "steel".
I don't know what scares me more, that toenail or the set of teeth under his sternum.
Looks like a brown Swamp Thing with toenails. The should have gone with the classic Mer-Man look from Masters of the Universe (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mer-Man).
Speaking of He-man, that Beowulf movie totally copied that paternity suit plot from Man at Arms and the Sorceress.
I knew Hollywood would finally run out of films to remake and get so desperate as to think of remaking Monsturd…

I just didn't think it would be done that way. Most bizarre.
"STEEL" PIPE WEAPON
if you must, the origins of his pipe weapon can be traced back to "steel", thx
Wow, Abomination looks.. different
I'm not so crazy about that look but I wanna see 'im in action, dammit–when are they going to release a trailer ?
I'm not that fond of the look either, although he may look a lot better in the movie as intended, rather than "toyified" in this picture. My biggest problem here is that he doesn't look strong, he looks emaciated and dead.
did nobody working okn this movie play the last hulk game? the one where abomination was a formidable-looking foe, and not the crack baby of amy winehouse and swamp thing? bad design. bad design indeed.
I'm sure if the put those pointy ears on him and gave him scales it would look awesome.
I was hoping Marvel would learn from their mistakes, and by taking shit into their own hands would be as accurate as poissible…but I was wrong.
Hulk looks good tho.
The look of this Abomination is cool. The people who don't like it are stupid and gay.
Listen up. Costumes and character designs are part of, but don't make a great movie. remember how everyone bitched about batman's suit, spiderman's raised webs, superman's too small s and wolverine being too tall. All were great movies and now we love 'em. I guarantee you if the movie abomination does seroius damage, provides a real threat and comes across devastating on screen. this figure will be a must have. Open your minds. Don't be nerds.
this site sucks and all of you are gay fags
I'm sorry but as a Comic Book fan the look of the movie is important to me. As soon as they start altering the look of the characters it tees me off. These are 40 year old icons they are messing with. There just no respect for the history of these characters. To top it off its Marvel thats letting them do it. But who is Marvel today nothing but a bunch of corperate hacks that are only in for the money
Abomination is an abomination to Jack Kirby and the Hulk fans.
no big deal, i always wondered why the Abomination looked like the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Its not that serious, he was always just another dude for the Hulk to beat on.
Swamp Thing. Hopefully the movie is good. Cloverfield hyped the hell out of their monster and gave us a Rancor mixed with video game monsters.
The Abomination is one of the Hulk's primary nemeses. If they fuck him up, I'm'a be pissed. Hopefully, this toy is of him after getting bathed in acid or something, because it looks like shit.
"The Man": You are a fucking moron.
Ya know it basically comes down to "how much" altering they do. Like mentioned above people did bitch about different things and they worked out fine but that was slight changes. The major theme of the character was still there. Costumes looked almost the same except for x-men but they still had the same powers. I'm not a big Hulk fan at all but I'm hugely disgusted with what he looks like. This is a slap to comic fans who know him.
Comics and movies are two totally different things. If marvel really felt like the the movie was heading in the wrong direction they would have the right to stop it since it is an in house project, unlike the last Hulk movie. People just need to be a little more open to new ideas. Look how many different interpretations of the Hulk there have been. It is really easy to be a Monday morning quarterback.
You guys are mad stupes.
Abomination in the movie, does not look like that poo toy. Just wait and see, he's one of the coolest looking(and scariest looking), supervillains to hit the big screen.
I have to say, how dumb do you have to be, to look at a toy and think that's an accurate representation of a movie character? I thought fanboys were smarter than that.
WTF?!?! It looks like a hairless bigfoot! That's nothing close to what Abomination should look like! I really, REALLY hope that its just a toy and NOT the fine look of Abomination. But then again. . . The Cloverfield monster is coming out in a toy and it looks worse than the one in the movie but still very simiular. Damn you Hollywood! Don't fuck with things that aren't broke! Just follow the damn comics!
this is awesome i have to gets it when it is realeased did u see the iron man toys there cool to
I want the Abomination to look like the classic reptile Gamma radiation freak we ALL know and love! I mean he looked he just came out of like the doom games or Like one of those "Mars Monsters"!I read earlier about the abomination have no scales and all. But I'm VERY disappointed for them making him look like a zombified version of the abomination where his ears fell off and he has Rotting flesh dammit!
Just think people got paid for doing conceptual drawrings of this walking piece of dried terd.
I really don't care how it looks so long as he doesn't look more like other marvel villians than the one it's supposed to be (it does) and looks good (it doesn't).
0 out of 2 is bad.
Help me out here…how did Abomination get the reptilian features anyways? My (limited) understanding was he was injected with serum or blood that contained gamma radiation that 'Hulked' him out – is there backstory I'm missing?
"cuz if there isn't, then explaining in a movie how he goes from little Russian guy to hulk with reptile features doesn't make as much sense as just going to being a HUGE ass mutated guy.
the abomination is kool i real want the toy,,
Thanks for an idea, you sparked at thought from a angle I hadn’t given thoguht to yet. Now lets see if I can do something with it.
