So there’s this movie called The Bleeding that’s about to go into production. And it’s about a former soldier who encounters a family of vampires in, according to Variety, a “chemical weapons factory-turned-nightclub.” Seriously.
And it has a fairly odd and confusing but strangely alluring collection of cast members. Michael Madsen. Vinny Jones. DMX. Armand Assante. Pittsburgh Slim. Kat Von D. What. the. fuck.
The film will be directed by Charles Picerni, Sr., a guy who has been doing stunts and bit-part acting for almost 50 years. It’s written by Lance Lane, who wrote/directed the Thomas Jane hustler movie Junked. It’s being produced by Michael Tadross, Jr. (not to be confused with his father).
All this screams direct-to-DVD, but that may not be the case. Frank Capra III (The Bucket List, Rumor Has It…) will be exec producing, and he doesn’t get involved with movies intending to go that route.
Whichever route The Bleeding takes and whatever its quality, I’ll be checking it out just because I am completely fascinated by that cast. And because I really like its silly title.
It shoots next month, so hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to find out how this all works out.

Is that Liam Gallagher? I said maybe….
Just wanted to say in all kindness-you're still awful, Owen. And kind of an unfunny dick.
Kat Von D keeps getting manlier and manlier. What? That's not her? Then who the fuck is that supposed to be?
Why is the plot of this move more improbable than say you writing for this website? Dwell on that for a minute or two and then try to understand why so many people have been going "what. the. fuck." in regards to you.
why don't you ever review movies? i'd like to read your take on doomsday.
Assante is a god, but the entire time he was in AMERICAN GANGSTER I was just mystified they were letting him speak so much. It's a shame how he got stuck in DTV.
All the hate – is there honestly a Pulitzer Prize winning way to word the news Phil's been assigned to report on? Get off the poor guy's nuts already… (He's already blown his wad on your moms.)
He blows, but he'll get better. Read more. Write more. Stop watching shitty fucking movies and pick up some Faulkner.
Why are people still defending this ass? Let's not rally around mediocrity! I mean Kaiju D'amato…really!?!
