The Incredible Hulk, the new game set to cash in on the upcoming film, was supposed to have a trailer hit its official site today, but Gametrailers snagged an exclusive look at it over the weekend. Here’s the short teaser where you can see the new look of the green guy in action.
So as you can see, it doesn’t look half bad. More of the same, yes, but that’s definitely not bad. And while we should not forget how much pure fun the last Hulk game was (to everyone’s surprise), the game to beat this time is Crackdown. Say what you want about that game, but it did the “superhero jumping around a city” thing better than anyone yet.
As is the case for most of these superhero video game adaptations, it will loosely follow the plot of the film, except with many more (of the sillier) bad guys getting into the mix. The Incredible Hulk will hit most every possible video game platform in the universe (360, PS3, PS2, Wii, DS, and PC) on June 3rd, right before the release of the film.

Does this mean we get to do smashy fun with LEADER?
It looks like they've reused a bunch of animations from Ultimate Destruction – the metal fists, car shield and other moves all look identical. Which is no bad thing, I guess.
So there's a movie to go along with this? Every week of silence, I'm more and more certain that this movie is going to be the world's biggest fraud. Every theatres but the ones I go to will have it playing! All the newspapers will say it's stupendous! Friends will CLAIM to have seen it. But in the end, no one will have actually seen it. THE INCREDIBLE HULK will make its money back with soft drink tie-ins –a dvd of "lost footage" will be released, but no one will ever see the real thing.
I'll take the Incredible Hulk game for the PS2 over the GTA games any day of the week. I'm not interested in criminal simulator. I like that Hulk allows me to run up the side of a 50 story building, come crashing down onto a tank with a foot stomp, then use that tank as a skateboard to grind through a military installation. What about the choopers, you ask? Jump 100 ft in the air, grab their tail, then pile drive them into the ocean. Oh yeaaaaah.
Yeah, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction is one of my favourite underrated videogames. It has great fun and you get the wish fulfilment of trashing city blocks and running up sky scrapers. Judging by this trailer the new game seems to be sticking surprisingly closely to this template of the previous game and rightly so.
