It’s unlikely that you care about a movie starring Hayden Panettiere where she and her gay best friend have a list of boys they can’t kiss to save their friendship, but how could you not be psyched by the fact that she has an album coming?

I got both of these pieces of info from a Variety article about Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List (based on a book by the authors of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist – guess that once you get a title formula down, stick with it), which will see Panettiere as Naomi, whose life gets complicated when she breaks the No Kiss List and sticks her tongue down Ely’s boyfriend’s throat. Like, OMG!

This is only Hayden’s latest film for Fox Atomic; she’s currently shooting I Love You, Beth Cooper. It seems like her movie career is really taking off… I wonder if she’s going to lobby to get the Cheerleader knocked off on Heroes so she can take advantage of these magic years when her ass remains so utterly perfect.

And she might be shaking that ass onstage when her new album comes out in the fall, with the first single scheduled to be Wake Up Call. I love it when actors do albums, and the 90s and early 00s were sort of a fallow period for that, but now with ScarJo doing a an album of Tom Waits covers (!) and Hayden doing an album of what will surely be deeply introspective anti-whaling songs, we might need Rhino to prepare a new volume of Golden Throats.
