Good Day!
Every Monday – Friday I’ll be syndicating a page from one of
several comic books I’ve been working on for the past year as CHUD’s
redesign came together [yeah, still working on that] in an effort to
make the site also be a haven for creative stuff that’s not just us
talking about movies and stuff but a place to share new stuff that
lives its own life. Stuff like my [hated] comic strip. Stuff like
CHUDstories [anyone want to spearhead that?]. Stuff like the Podcast
[which will be available to listen to directly off the site next week].
Stuff like some upcoming things we’ll be working on.
And stuff
like these comic books, which will run on CHUD.com for the duration of
their lives [and hopefully see print sooner than later]. You’ll be
seeing the comic books PAIN, The Crawl, The Bridger Adventures, This Hollow World, and possibly a few others.
This week, we feature 5 pages of Pain,
written by myself, penciled and inked by Xerx, colored by Simon O.
Wright and Jose Vega and lettered by Simon O. Wright.
Pain, #2

howzabout 2 pages at a time? seriously, this takes "decompression" way to far…(shit, i guess i am an elitist, snobbish Comic Book Guy; just in the wrong thread.)
Wait until you have enough pages to create some kind of continuity or story flow before putting them out there. This is ridiculous. It's impossible to judge a story this way. It's like watching a movie in two-minute increments ever other week.
Did you have some kind of traumatic religous experience as a kid??? Second time "scary" Jesus has been mentioned. Seems to be a theme running through your writing. (I know Christianity is not very popular with the site-both writers and readers. Don't mind good natured criticism, commentary, or jokes. But let's not allow vicious, anti-religousness drive away the few christian chewers you have-or has that ship sailed?) Thanks.
"Wait until you have enough pages to create some kind of continuity or story flow before putting them out there." I'm sure Nick said he has hundreds of pages done. Is that it for Bridger Adventures then? I know it was getting mauled in the comments but it seems like a weird place to leave the story, such as it was. Rather than so rigidly sticking to X number of pages per week, why not just share enough pages to at least offer a complete scene or find a convenient point to stop? All we know about Bridger is that there's a ship and a coffin and a guy going for a walk into the desert, which isn't really enough to have people anticipating its return.
@3 – you are so going to love the next scene in the church where Bloody Jesus gets down off the cross and starts handing out new arseholes while the kid sits, pointing a trembling finger in mute screaming in terror.
YES! PAGE 2 IS FINALLY HERE! FINALLY.
Nick, I find one whole page of these comics too much to digest at at time. Have you considered cutting back to a single panel a week? Plus that way you can stretch this feature out longerer before you run out of finished material and abandon it like you do with everything else.
You sir have some kind of super literary agent (or dipshit management), seeing as how you seem to have no limits to how much poo you are artistically entitled to shovel onto CHUD fans.
"This week, we feature 5 pages of Pain." Indeed, nick. Indeed…
