Eddie Furlong made a big impression on horror fans when he played an overweight vigilante in The Crow: Wicked Prayer. Now he looks to make a sizeable difference in the Night of the Demons remake.
So far, the casting news for the highly anticipated remake has been dominated by females while leaving fans of the original wondering who, if anyone, is going to be supplying that brand of male chauvinism wrapped in a fake pig snout that made Night of the Demons so awesome. And sure, nobody knows if Adam Gierasch’s remake will have any characters that hold a candle to Night of the Demons’ memorable teenagers like that puffy dude in the pig snout. But if anyone can pull off puffy, it is the current incarnation of Edward Furlong.

According to Shock Till You Drop, principal photography began today in New Orleans. The film also stars Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie), Monica Keena (Freddy vs. Jason), and Diora Baird.

"highly anticipated remake"?
1: first guy, get a sarcasm detector.
2: Shannon Elizabeth makes nice boobies.
Overweight vigilante? I thought he was trying to represent the majority of crow fans.
Passed the set on Esplanade today on my way home.
Mr. Furlong's condition is clearly caused by political insiders and Washington fatcats. We need to come together and make sure that the stars of the future have the chance to star in their own T2 and avoid playing puffy faced people. I wold like to also propose the Edward Furlong bill (HR210577) that will provide $150 million in new spending to get this poor guy a tent-pole movie based around his considerable talent. Perhaps Marvel Comics' Speedball. The superhero not the pile of drugs. Who am I kidding? At lease Furlong has had the chance to meet Tara Reid.
@ Brocktoon:
You mean Shannon Elizabeth's plastic surgeon makes nice boobies.
I for one support your proposed bill on the condition that we include requests for funding a few of my own projects as earmarks.
