Jeffrey Wells is breaking news all over the place today. Sorta. First it’s the maybe/maybe not Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex tale, now it’s the awesome poster seen below for Katheryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker. Wells isn’t even positive that this is the final one-sheet, but it should be, because it hits so many key points about the Iraq war: uncertainty, terrible danger, fear, and the scads of money that wire manufacturers must be raking in these days. I’ve been hearing good word about the film, and I love this image. The film opens next year.

I am almost disappointed that the f*cking Quarantine ad did not pop up.
I really like the poster, and unless it turns out to be a super preachy movie, I'll see it just cause it's from Katheryn Bigelow.
From everything I've heard, it's going to be an excellent film. This poster just makes me want to see it even more.

Saw this film at TIFF, its the best war film of the decade. Bigalow's film has no pretentions of understanding the the Iraq conflict, it merely shows a group of soldiers doing their job. Its the antidote to the bland Body of Lies. Incredibly tense
