In case you may not know it, the sequel to 1999’s Boondock Saints, Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day has recently begun filming in Toronto. I myself have managed to never see the original, so I don’t know if that’s a good thing or bad. However, according to Devin, who reported on it back in July, it’s pretty much the latter. Nevertheless, in case you require info on the upcoming sequel, no problem: enough info on the subject to choke Wikipedia:

If you love the original film and are salivating at the sequel, you’re welcome. If you agree with Devin, consider it more ammo with which to lock and load your hate guns.
Thanks to Wendy for the info.

Was Boondock Saints perfect? No. Was it fun? Hell yes. I actually would love to see this. I'm glad it's moving forward instead of hearing it will never happen as I did months ago.
i love the original film…..and would love to see another movie in that universe, but i refuse to even consider the fact that this'll be good. at all.
The first one was tolerable. Awful editing and too much "I try to write dialogue that reminds people of Tarantino" for my tastes, but it served its purpose. We got a story about some ass kicking Irishmen, and a great performance by Defoe. However, I am in that camp of people who think a second one is unnecessary, unwarranted and unwelcome. Then again, I'm not thirteen any more.
It's a bloody action film with likeable leads (except, of course, Rocko). It doesn't need a sequel, at all, but who cares. Some people who hate this film call other people who like this film losers with bad tastes, but anyone who gets all worked up about their being a sequel is just as big a loser. See movies you like, don't see movies you don't. It's a bit like Dellamorte's latest Box Office report about HSM and Saw, if it isn't raping your sister, why get all bent out of shape about it. It's not like bloody action movies are a high art form in and of themselves.
I really liked the first one. I haven't seen it in a while, but the film was fun. I disagree with Devin on Boondock Saints. It's an enjoyable flick. I don't mind a sequel if it's fun, too.
One of the most absurd movies. One of the best things Dafoe ever did. THERE WAS A FIREFIGHT. Also I misread apalooza as appaloosa and thought Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen were on board.
better in Light Sleeper, LastTemptation,Loveless, Streets of Fire, Fishing with John because the movies(and fishing show) around him were better quality than this derivative piece of heel turd. Last Days of Frankie the Fly was better than this. Boondock was just easy to find at Blockbuster. Only reason for the hype.
Gay Willem Dafoe. Enough said.
I've never understood all of the hate from Devin for this one. If you consider the budget, level of actors, and genre, this guy is pretty top notch. And willem dafoe's performance in that movie is nothing short of mesmerizing. Oh, and A GUY THREW A TOILET OFF A ROOF.
and about time too.
I think I speak with a large contingent of the internet community when I say, "meh."
Neither the worst movie ever made or the second coming. Arguing about this movie is like arguing over oatmeal.
Boondock Saints….. is garbage.
Oatmeal ROCKS!
Seriously, watch the documentary "Overnight" and never give this douchebag a cent of your money. Ever.
The movie is terrible, but it has Willem Dafoe playing a flamboyantly gay detective, and Billy Connolly playing a gun-jacket wearing assassin. The badness washes out of your mind with time, but the good remains.
Boondocks Saints isn't the worst movie I've ever seen but it's definitly the WORST Tarantino wanna-be I've ever seen. Seeing Willem Dafoe as a gay cop was even worse, the acting was shit, the story was muddled and shit as well. And oh god, how many fucking times did those queer brothers do bible quotes, trying to attempt what Sam Jackson's role in Pulp Fiction did. This sequel I'm sure will be just as horrible as the first piece of shit they put out.
