EA today announced a huge amount of downloadable content for Dead Space. Sure, most of you have already beaten the great game and gone on to your next fix but here’s some incentive to fire your system of choice up for another round through. It goes much quicker the second time, trust me.
There’s two problems with this new stuff, though. First of all it’s all you’ve got to pay cash for any of it… no more free suits like the one offered on release. Secondly, it’s almost all cosmetic, except for a few that make the existing weapons more powerful. How about a new weapon or two? Although I have to admit to being curioius as to how that Steam Punk gun looks….

If you haven’t played the game, I highly suggest picking it up, along with the awesome comics. Feel free to skip the animated film, though. Man, was it a mistake to be excited for that.

I'm really enjoying this game. I'm on the last level, taking my time, trying to explore everything and upgrade stuff. This DLC looks interesting, but like you said, some new guns/weapons would be nice.
So how far off is the repackaged collectors edition with all this stuff already on the disc?
The game is such ass. You're basically running down the same hallways with trigger points spawning monster moments. Getting to point A, B, or C to push a button to advance to the next hallway. The sound design is fucking amazing, but the rest of the game is sadly boring.
I can't wait to have sex with this game and have it fall asleep in my arms
