Sometimes people say something like ‘Heroes stinks now,’ and I’m just taken aback. Now? Another TV show that gets similar sentiments from people is Smallville, a program that almost defined insufferable when it first aired, and has apparently only gotten worse over the years.

The creators of that show, Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, have moved on to the movies, putting their special stamp on the Aquaman pilot, and they’ll soon be taking a swipe at the live action Robotech movie as well, according to the trades.

Lawrence Kasdan had written a previous draft of the giant mech movie, and say what you will about his recent output, going from the guy who wrote Raiders of the Lost Ark to the guys who wrote The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is a big step backwards. I don’t really care about this property in any way, shape or form, but with Kasdan writing it I had some curiosity. That’s pretty much gone now.
