With that Last House on the Left remake hitting theaters next year, you know that MGM wasn’t just going to sit on the original. The last dvd is out of print, so they’ve whipped up a new dvd for release next February 24th, and here’s some horrible cover art to go along with it.

Bad, eh? I’d love to meet someone who could name the movie that was for without the title on it. But it’s not that the last dvd cover art was any better, but c’mon, how hard is it to do this one right? Just use the original poster, fer chrissakes.
At least there’s some new extras! Here are all the details-
- Audio commentary with actors David Hess, Marc Sheffler and Fred Lincoln
- Wes Craven featurette
- Celluloid Crime of the Century featurette
- Scoring Last House featurette
- Tales that Will Tear Your Heart Out featurette
- Deleted Scene: Mari Dying at the Lake
- Never-before-seen outtakes
- Wes Craven’s annotated shooting scripts
- Photo Gallery
We have until April to prepare ourselves for the remake, but those of you who for some reason don’t own this classic won’t have any more excuses.

"but those of you who for some reason don't own this classic won't have any more excuses"….. um, I'm married have a wife, she watched this with me and, um… I don't really have a lot of movies, um… that revolve around rape, um….. on DVD so….. Last time I came home with a 3 pack of Irreversible, The Accused, and UrotsukidÅji: Legend of the Overfiend she was like "Which one do you want to watch", so I said "They've all got some brutal rape scenes in them, so any one you pick should be fine by me!" After that she was all about me tackling her in the subway, or throwing her on top of the pinball machine, and can you even imagine how hard it is to find a tentacle as big as my arm? It all just got so boring and tame, y'know what I mean? So, I guess I just came up with another excuse?
RCA. Best comment ever.
No excuses!
Awesome RCA. Shit like that makes the comment sections worthwhile.
Booohooo…. The cover art sucks…. Buy some decent paper, and print out the old one, a custom one, or find the original poster and photoshop your own…. Freak"n cry babies….
The cover art on the last release was shit as well, if that helps.
RCA is my new hero! Bravo!
@#1 – Awesome. @#5 – that sounds an awful like like scrapbookin' boy…you likes scrapbookin'?
RCA=Devin Farci 🙁
Pretty appropriate, considering this is one of the most, to use a CHUD phrase, overblown movies of all time. "Hey, let's mix bumbling cops and crazy black chicken women with rape and forced pissing! It's a fun time for the family!"
Waa waaa waaaaaa, the coverart isn't exactly like how I would have done it, waaaaaaaaaaaaaa. CHRIST
Classic? Crap, not classic. Trash Z-grade flick with a horrifyingly bad soundtrack, awful acting and terrible attempt at mixing gore and humor (and it's the "Best German Home Videos" kind of "humor", too). The only reason why it's remembered is that it had that entrail scene that was gory in the 70. Today, you see such scenes in cartoons.
Maltin was far too gentle when grading this "movie".
this is cool
Ilike the new cover art it looks more modern and thats whats gona make people wana buy it .i think it look's cool and the only thing i am trying to figure out if this movie was made in the 70s how did they make it look modern?
