Three downloadable content packs will be coming to Xbox 360 and Games for Windows Live starting in January that will add new quests, items, and content to Fallout 3.
* Operation: Anchorage. Enter a military simulation and fight in one of the greatest battles of the Fallout universe – the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders. An action-packed battle scheduled for release in January.
* The Pitt. Journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh. Choose your side. Scheduled for release in February.
* Broken Steel. Join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. Continues the adventure past the main quest. Scheduled for release in March.
No word on prices just yet.
Along with that Bethesda is releasing the official editor for the game, called the G.E.C.K. (play the games for the reference), for free in December. That means that PC gamers will be able to create literally anything they want in the game- from landscapes and towns to characters and weapons and new dialogue options. It’s here that those of us with subpar gaming rigs should be groaning, because you know people are going to be making some amazing stuff.
In any case, the future still looks bright for Fallout 3. I’m stilll not done with my quest despite putting a ridiculous amount of hours into it (I’m trying to do everything like an idiot) but it’s easily the best, most immersive game this year. Glad to see it’s not going to be over yet.

I agree, it is one of the best games I've ever played… until I'm only about half way through the game and hit level 20.
The game is great but there needs to be an update to remove the level cap. I don't even want to play the game now.
I loved the game and I loved exploring the Capital Wastelend. However, once I reaced the DC ruins the game began to stink. Too much time spent wandering around blocked roads and the same underground tunnels again and again and again and again…
Traded it for Left 4 Dead in the end.
While it is an enjoyable game, I have to majestically shout from the rooftops "F**K THIS GAME'S EYESOCKETS", for the simple reason that at no point was it noted that you cannot play after the end of the game (relax, not a spoiler, you can't keep playing no matter the ending) which is a major major prob for the DLC too. Why the hell make it a sandbox game then? Don't get me started on the ending and Fawkes' BAFFLING inaction due to "destiny"(a cliche as egregious as an "it was all a dream").
Ending was bullshit. Fuck Fawkes, fuck'em good.
You can download a PC mod that raises your level cap.
This may sound like a stupid question…but does anyone know when this is going to be hitting the Mac platform?
What? No love for the PS3? Where's our extra shit?
Don't blame Bethesda, blame Sony for being too cheap to fork out for exclusivity.
Also, blame yourself for buying this on PS3.
