Sure, Blister in the Sun is a terribly played out song, but it’s totally era appropriate in the trailer for Greg Mottola’s follow-up to Superbad, Adventureland.
I have to say that I kind of love this trailer – it’s just so nicely shot – and I’m looking forward to this film in a big way. That’s a great cast, and while the movie doesn’t look like a gutbuster (except maybe for the Bill Hader/Kristen Wiig scenes), it does look sweet and funny.

I saw this film in a sneak preview a few months ago. I like the direction Mottola took it. Quite different from SUPERBAD. More of a Noah Baumbach feel. good film.
Hey, this is about the Adventureland near me! It takes place in Farmingdale (Long Island) NY. I live about a 10-15 minute drive from there.
Was I the only one who was disappointed that this wasn't an adaptation of the Scott Adams text adventure?

This film was actually shot in Pittsburgh and was filmed largely at Kennywood Park. It nice to see a place I worked at for 3 looooooong summer get some big-screen love. Hope it turns out ot be a good flick.
