They (Gary Oldman and the fine folks at Warner Bros.) just announced at Comic Con that Batman 3 will begin shooting in 2010. We don’t know who will be behind the lens (Nolan’s looking pretty booked), who the villain will be, what the title will be, or if it’ll be the further evolution of a smarter look at Batman or if dollar signs rule the day.
I really like the first two films. I have many gripes about them but I really like them and have no problems seeing many more of them (especially if Jackie Earle Haley gives Bale voice lessons) but I have grown very weary of the whole “announce the next film” thing without letting people know that the intentions are pure. Hold the announcement until you have some SUBSTANCE to share. A title. Word that your director is either Nolan or someone else audiences can trust. Showcase that you’ve learned from past mistakes.
Also, the third film in a franchise is a really pivotal thing. Especially when the second film is the second highest grossing film in the history of skin.
Anyhow, there’s your news. More Batman on the way. I really hope they don’t make it villain-centric.

I think The Riddler, Harley Quinn ore The Pinguin, maybe Catwoman ore Bane, maybe.
I NEED a Batman 3!
Batman 3 needs to have Two-face; end of story. We only saw about 20 minutes of two-face in Dark Knight. He was a Batman villian in the comics for years. You can't kill him off after one brief stint. I don't care what other villians there are in the movie; Two-Face is a must!
I hope that batman 3 will be as good as the first 2 films the only shame is that if the jokers in it the Late Heath Ledger will not be playing him.
The Nolan Crew just need to TAKE-THEIR-TIME, and all the hoopla will be forgotten.

and my NEW favorite title… ‘The Prince of Darkness’
Christopher (Nolan) should surprise us all… Berry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan, Unknown, Enemy of The State) might be a good surprise as the Riddler, or maybe someone a tad bit older.
Please, I say NO to Johnny (Depp) or Robert (Downey).
Maybe others will agree, I’m just a bit tired seeing them on screen.
