Dreamworks has picked up an action comedy called Wife Vs. Ninja. Yes, that is the actual name of an actual film that’s actually in production. They nabbed it up from a pitch (“Get this! It’s a wife…. versus a ninja!”) by Michael Besman, better known as the producer behind About Schmidt and The Opposite of Sex.
The film will center on a Long Island yenta who finds out that the hot young intern who stole her scientist husband away from her is actually a ninja assassin that’s set on stealing his work. Truly this will be one for the ages.
“We fell in love with the mix of action and laughs in (the story),” said co-president of production Holly Bario.

Anyone else read the headline and come in expecting a genuinely odd–and possibly great–movie featuring Disney's anthropomorphized dog?
