This new poster for Iron Man 2 has just popped up on Apple, and it offers up a nice new look at Mickey Rourke’s Whiplash.

While it’s about as generic as the previous Iron Man 2 posters (here and here), at least it gives a little insight into his character, or more aptly, his obsession with Iron Man. That’s why he looks so upset, you see. Perhaps the next poster will have both characters glaring at each other with War Machine standing in the background.

What in the world is going on with his disproportionate body? His legs are insanely too short and stubby.
Randy the Ram Vs. Iron Man? Who you got?
What is wrong with his legs? This is a nice new look at Whiplash? I can't see anything in that murky piece of photoshop-shit.
@ #1: Ha ha ha ha ha, awesome. As if the character design wasn't silly enough to begin with, now I get to imagine a 4 ft hobbit fighting Iron Man. Even worse, it'd still make for a more entertaining finale than the first one.
They need to get some better designers for the posters, the guys who made that one TDK poster with all the joker cards together making Batman's face was awesome, higher them.
I think you're looking at the top of his boots, not the bottom of his feet. There's no floor in the shot at all.
#5 – 'hire them', not 'higher them' you illiterate fuckwad.
@ #6 Err, there is a floor in the shot; the whips are laying on it (hence the curve) and you can see the tip of his right (his left) boot.
Wait, so that is the extent of the suit? I thought the braces were going to be just the initial prototype/start before he got coverings. He looks like a paraplegic.
Hobotech is powered by drunken rage.
Wheres the poster of Iron man helping poor brown people who can't help themselves? That was the best thing about the 1st one.
Alright, lets get down to the nerd logistics of the matter. Does anyone else find it odd that they would pick a villian who's primary form of attack is stationary? What the hell is he gonna do, sit there while Iron Man blasts him with rockets from 100 feet in the air?
Don't know about anyone else, but I thought the first Iron Man was horrible, and this one doesn't look any better. Favareau is getting a lot of mileage out of his cult persona.
That's because Devin and I like to take it in the pooper, and we only promote movies by people who pound us in the poopers.
Did Whiplash also get hit with shrapnel and have a random doctor implant an electromagnet in his chest? Is Ironman's technology so easy to replicate that all his villans have the exact same technology just with slight variations? Tony Stark should have patened that shit…
