You probably didn’t watch the Spike TV Video Game Awards but the game industry sure loves that show. In between giving away awards it took time to show off a ton of new trailer, such as this teaser trailer for the next Batman: Arkham Asylum. That’s right, what ended up being one of the best games of the year (review here) is already getting a sequel, slated for 2010.
Those of you hoping for a more open world game this time might get your wish- it appears that the game is set in the dirty, gritty streets of Gotham City. Course, it’s more likely that you’ll journey through smaller, closed-off sections of the city.
Joker and Harley Quinn still kicking around (duh) and there are a bunch of hidden references to other villains- how many can you pick out?
Along with this there’s a teaser website already up at arkhamhasmoved.com. More on this exciting (if obvious) release as we hear it!

fucking sweet! "Arkham Asylum" is not only a great Batman game, but the best comic book video game I've ever played. I'm stoked for a sequel.
One of the best things about the game is that Batman DOESN'T have a gravelly voice. Or at least not the incomprehensible croak that Bale gave him.
Catwoman please kthxbai.
Caught the Iceberg Lounge. Penguin!
I caught some graffiti and posters but can't make them out. Anyone have any good hi-rez pics?
I could listen to Kevin Conroy read stereo instructions, he has the best Batman voice ever.
Heres my question? Robin or no robin? I say no, robin to me always introduces an inherent level of campiness to Batman. The trailer seems to indicate this game takes place within days if not hours of the first one. Unless they just wanted a trailer out there and used as many of the same models from the first engine as they could.
