This weekend I talked with someone who told me that Hot Tub Time Machine is so raunchy that green band trailers can’t do it justice. Considering the fact that I found this green band trailer to be really, really funny I’m kind of psyched to see just how much funnier the movie is when experienced in its full, dirty form.

Saw a test screening last month. It was decent. Nothing amazing, but it moved as such a fast clip that it worked for me.
Weird. I saw a short about a Bathtub Time Machine not too long ago, I think it was called Welgunzer. It was good.
This trailer has actually been out for quite some time now. I have mixed feelings about this film. I really, really want it to be raunchy and funny, but I still have my doubts. It just looks sort of… dumb.
This looks like a rip-off of Road Trip or The Hangover, but with time traveling… I haven't seen this, but based on my presumptions, and the fact that this scenario has already been used as a basis for a previous film, I am going to hate on this till it gets released and then bite my tongue when I secretly love it because I'm too embarassed to admit i was wrong…. I learned it from reading Chud.

Maybe I was watching a different trailer or something, but I thought that looked kind of awful. Maybe it's just the trailer, I don't know. It just feels like The Hangover meets The Wedding Singer meets Back to the Future. Too many of the jokes seem dependent on "LOOK AT HOW DIFFERENT AND LAME THINGS WERE IN THE 80's!" We already have a movie to show us what that is like. It's called Scarface.
So Rob Cordry is the other guy's dad thanks to time travel? Way to give away a big gag in the trailers. If that is in fact what happens.
